Physical Description | Coop gives the immediate impression that he should be enforcing some law somewhere rather than speaking the word of God. Then there’s that faintly unsettling look in his eye as he seems to look into your very soul and judge it worthy… or not. Depending on his mood his hair is either very short or completely shaven off. His beard is neatly trimmed however, and he has a small self-given tattoo of a cross next to his left eye. There are several others about his person, but he’d need to be naked for you to see them all. |
Family
Personality & Traits
General Overview | Introvert. Quiet and yet intensely present in a situation or company. Judgemental and quick to do so, but acts physically rather than verbally in most cases. For all the sharp wit and clever wordage of his partner in worship, Coop is the faithful dog willing to do whatever is needed to ensure the work is done. He doesn’t complain, doesn’t argue and doesn’t preach, but he’s very practically minded, whether you need a heavy load transported from A to B, or someone to disappear. His trust is very difficult to achieve, but when you have it, it’s permanent and he’ll believe you whatever you tell him.
Strengths & Weaknesses | + Blunt instrument + Brave (or at least unconcerned and relentless) + Loyal (but to very few) - Gauche/inelegant - Easily led by those he trusts - Not the sharpest tool in the shed |

Ambitions | Make the Verse a better, god-fearing place as it should be. Bring the word of the Lord to those who have strayed far from the mainstream flock and ensure they can hear it over the noise of those around them.

Personal History | Cooper was born on Triumph, the seventh of ten kids in a simple and pious family on this primitive border planet. All of Triumph’s settlements are governed by elders who put God’s will before that of their people, and while little Cooper didn’t have a problem with this, he did strongly object to his two older sisters being forced to attend the Maiden House rather than the schools they wanted to be a part of. He visited the town elders in the middle of one dark, moonless night and explained this to them the only way he knew how. Turns out fancy flying ships are a much easier means to spread the good word, and Coop trusted his daddy in that regard when he was sent out into the Verse the following morning with just his Bible and the clothes on his back. |
